Entitled ‘Tiga Pemimpi’ or ‘Three Dreamers’ the artwork by Shafiqah Sharom depicts three women in a dream state dancing freely in the woods donning traditional Malay attires, baju kebaya and sarong batik, whilst being surrounded by nature and wild animals.
‘Tiga Pemimpi’ serves as a reminder of the importance of pursuing your dreams. Through her artwork, Ika empowers and inspires her audience to dream, and at the same time appreciate and embrace Malaysian cultural heritage.
This garment was hand-printed by Bogus Merchandise ( @bogusmerchandise ) and feature its own uniqueness showcasing a silkscreen version of Ika Sharom’s artwork.
