In this year’s Eid 2021 campaign collection entitled “Light,” Nelissa Hilman has taken inspiration from the sources of light in our lives. The sun and the moon.
The sun brings brightness, warmth, and fun. To capture those elements, we've introduced feminine and playful designs in golden olive, mustard, green and metallic pink with ribbons and bows. As the moon brings mystery and sophistication, we've created minimalist sandals and macrame-inspired designs in neutral colors of nude, gold, off-white, and tan with pearls and crossover tubular straps.
Taking a modern spin on the tradition of weaving, locally known as anyaman, you can see the intrecciato weave pattern on flat sandals, heels, and mules throughout the collection.
The stand-out designs from this collection are Ambra the crossover strappy sandals with pearl heels, Safiyaa crossover strap sandals with intrecciato weave heels, and Khadija, Farah, and Aqila the macrame-woven sandals.
The Light collection also welcomes the return of the best seller of 2017, Ruth (now renamed Myra), with an updated twist knot and the best sellers of 2020, Orked, and Azalea, in new colorways.
With a wide range of styles offered this season, the collection prioritizes comfort, with a key focus on flats, open-toed sandals, and mules. “Light” will be available progressively online and in-store beginning mid-April 2021.
