Last Friday, we got the chance to play host to friends and family in store at Bangsar Village 2 and celebrate the launch of our Spring Summer 2023 collection. Amidst the high temperatures outside, those at the store got to take a brief respite and enjoy chilled drinks, desserts and some light refreshments prepared by Aida Azwar of Flé Kuala Lumpur. Inspired by a blend of asian and western influences, the bite sized dishes were set amongst an installation of mirrors and pots on a wooden table. 

The crowd mingled, had conversations with each other, took a look at the clothes and shoes on display while perusing some of the curations in store featuring other local brands and artists. We also invited a close friend and stylist, Izrin Izelan to style 5 looks in head to toe Nelissa Hilman based on the modern, pragmatic and creative Nelissa Hilman woman.

For the first look, Izrin paired the Drawstring Dress with a pair of  Skye Mary Jane Pumps in Blush and Nelissa Hilman Essential Socks. The contrasting metallic looks helps provide a fun fashion forward and sleek look for those trying to style a daily and utilitarian combo. To complete the ensemble, Izrin adds a piece of jewellery from our Seed(PODS) Jewellery collection, the Maha brooch in Oxidised Copper. 

For the second look, Izrin paired the Folded Cuff Shirt in Copper Orange with a nude top and an Asymmetrical Skirt in Khaki. With the Folded Cuff Shirt dressed as an outerwear, this casual and clean on the go look is completed with the same pair of NH Essential Socks in brown with the feet nestled in a buttery soft pair of Iris Square Toe pumps in Burgundy. To complement the asymmetrical cut of the skirt, Izlia paired the look with Luna hook and stud earrings each on one side.  A look fit for a trip walking around town, exploring hidden treasures sprinkled amidst a bustling metropolis.

A look fit for the casual trips round town while staying chic or from the office to nights out at restaurants, Izrin paired the Folded Cuff Shirt in Black and White with an Asymmetrical Skirt Pants in Navy and Fern Peep Toe Mules in Cool Grey.  Swap out the shoes for a lower or higher pair of heel to dress down or up! 

Styled with the modern modest women in mind, this look pairs the Long Sleeve Midi Dress in Blue Denim with Fera hook earrings, jeans and sneakers. The dress is designed with a wide cut and loose fit, perfect to be build on or worn as is. While this look is an all denim comfort look, the sneakers adds a utilitarian purpose to allow for all day casual wear. 

For look 5, Izrin pairs the Folded Cuff Shirt in White underneath a Nelissa Hilman Embroidered Scuba Sweatshirt in Navy Blue with some Pleated Pants in Grey. The "It" look for staying comfortable and cozy while still appearing formal, pair a button down along with a sweater and a pair of your favourite loafers, put on some jewellery and you get the perfect stated chic combo. 

The final look and the one that pretty much represents Izrin herself, this look combines her Nelissa Hilman favourites, Izrin came to the soiree dressed in the classic and chic Caped-panel Poplin shirt in Black and paired it with the Asymmetrical Skirt in Khaki along with a pair of Iris Square Toe Pumps in Burgundy.
